JBL New York City
Technology is leading to drastic changes in the industry and in the way dental practices operate. At JBL New York City we are equipped with the most advanced technology. Efficiency and differentiation are the keys to success in this new environment.
Digital dental technologies enable consultations with patients and collaborations with other dental specialties to be conducted quicker and with more immediate and detailed information. This allows improved quality of care due to enhanced diagnosis and more precision in treatment planning and final restorations.
Commonly known as a CAT-Scan, this advanced type of radiography enables a detailed, three-dimensional view of the area under examination. It is used to develop a prognosis and identify the anatomical characteristics required for more complex dental treatments – such as evaluation and planning the positioning of implants.
The scanner provides high-resolution precision imagery of the mouth, jaw area and neck. Importantly, this type of machinery exposes the patient to minimal radiation with minimal invasiveness. One CBCT image is equivalent to six tradicional radiographs.
Digital Smile Design
Digital smile design is based upon the analysis of the patients facial and dental proportions. We involve the patients in the restorative or smile enhancement process, making you the co-designer of your own treatment by sharing objectives, expressing desires and expectations with us. The interaction between patient and dentist is improved by photos and videos taken at several steps of the treatment. We utilize the photographs and videos as a baseline in conjunction of our expert understanding the relationship between teeth, gums, lips and smile to ensure you have your most beautiful and healthy smile.
JBL New York City provides the ultimate technology in creating and fitting dental restorations with a CAD/CAM system where we are able to offer same-day dental restorations to our patients. Our technology eliminates the need for messy impressions or a temporary restoration that you’ll need to replace later. At JBL New York City we are committed to providing the most efficient and effective innovations available and our CAD/CAM technology designs and crafts high quality, metal-free dental restorations in a single patient visit.
How it works:
The dentist uses a special camera to take an accurate picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD technology to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and automatically creates the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth. The whole process takes about one hour.
One of the most significant dental developments in recent times is the introduction of digital scanning techniques as an alternative to Silicon PVS printing. The new technology is more detailed and precise, which enables dentists to perfect their treatments.
The system is also more comfortable for patients, removing one of the traditional sources of discomfort when visiting a dental practice.
3D printing is a rapidly growing technology in numerous fields, and a rapidly growing arena in dental laboratories. Dental 3D printers feature lights or lasers that polymerize a liquid or fuse a powder with the computer-guided precision required to produce small objects with intricate details. They are capable of producing models, parts and even complete restorations out of a range of materials. Adding a 3D printer to a busy lab or practice can increase efficiency, and there are a wide range of printers fit for different scales of production, lab sizes, and specific tasks. Our 3D printers deliver tight-fitting crowns and orthodontic models with a best-in-class smooth surface that results in crystal-clear thermoformed aligners.

Thanks to Digital Radiography, X-rays are now taken in the flash of an eyelid. Radiation levels are low (90% below traditional X-rays) and this technology allows the dentist to see even small areas clearly, while digital technology makes it possible to zoom in without losing resolution, for optimal evaluation and treatment.
DEXIS CariVu™ is the “no-dose” solution for detecting caries and cracks and displaying images in easy-to-read black and white. Absolutely zero ionizing radiation. Using near-infrared transillumination technology, you’ll see into a tooth like never before, and possess a non-invasive alternative to X-rays when difficult or simply unneeded.
